I really enjoy books that pull you into the plot from the start and fill in the other bits of the story as you read. The characters were unique and interesting to learn about. I like the various threads that were woven into the book along with the primary plot thread. The suspicion and other-worldly elements added to the feel of the read. There seems to be a bit too much effort into keeping the guessers from predicting anything which makes for a bit of a winding type of read. A few less switches and twisting turns and the book would easily earn another star. There is rarely a moment where there isn’t something going on. Overall this is a good read and certainly something many readers will enjoy. I received an ARC through library thing in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion.

Read and Reviewed by Charlie since it was a DNF by me. This one ended up partially read then tossed to the side several times before it was finally read in full. The characters are standard run-of-the-mill types. The plot is a touch outside the boundaries of reality but still swallow-able if you are able to suspend a large chunk of belief. The more you read into the book the less thrilling it feels and the more you want to read something else. I felt I was in a stubborn streak and wanted to finish this book, else it ended up tossed in the donation bin unread. Looking back I likely should have just listed it as unread and moved on. However, I’ll bet there are those who just love this book and think it’s fantastic. That’s all good and fine. I’d be worried if everyone felt the same way about a book. A copy of the book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Very well written and edited suspense with light romance. I like the characters and how well fleshed out they are. The characters are easy to connect with as well. The plot moves along at a good pace with a very well constructed premiss and book ending. This is a very good read and well worth the time. There’s nothing crude or shocking in the language so anyone can enjoy it. I received an ARC through Revell reads in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion.
