Three months and counting…

Well worth the wait!
I was lucky enough to read an early copy and I will say I enjoyed the book immensely. It’s not perfect but it’s very well written and well worth the read.

Hollow World: The Novel

It’s now exactly three months until Hollow World will be officially released.  How can time travel so fast and so so slow simultaneously? And yes and that was my lame attempt at time-travel humor…given Hollow World’s premise it seemed lie that was worth going for.

A lot is going on.

  • Early reviews continue to come in from both bloggers and readers.  If you are one of the people who got Hollow World early, please consider leaving a review on Amazon  or Goodreads.  All I ask is that you are honest about your feelings on the book.
  • The narrator has been selected for the audio version.  More on this in an upcoming post.
  • We’ve finally standardized on the cover design. For awhile there were a few variations running around some that featured Marc’s excellent artwork, others that utilized Pax.  Tachyon has determined which way they want to go…

Shades of Mercy by Anita Lustrea

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Refreshing and very well written story that encompasses the true meanings of love, compassion, toleration and honesty. From the very first words the reader is drawn into a vividly presented time period in our not so distant past where differences between peoples are the basis for prejudices and blinded minds. This is written with the younger minds as focus, accurately portraying the age of the main characters in their thoughts, words and actions. I especially enjoyed the characters having strong morals and sound faith, and keeping to those beliefs throughout the story without being preachy. Overall this is an enjoyable book for all ages, with just a minor slow down through the middle of the plot. A free copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

Destiny (New Avalon #1) by Andrea Buginsky

Destiny (New Avalon, #1)Destiny by Andrea Buginsky
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Destiny is a well written book perfect for girls at that delicate age of self discovery and self image building. The plot is paced quite well as we follow this part of Elena’s life. The characters feel well fleshed out and I especially like how Elena develops through the story. While aimed towards the younger age, I found myself throughly enjoying this read. This is a book that as a mother I would love to read along with my daughter if I had one. For older readers it may seem a bit light but it will still be an enjoyable easy and relatable read.

I was offered a free copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
