Jorie and the Magic Stones by A.H. Richardson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was a fun read my son (13) and I shared, although admittedly he did the majority of the reading. The fantasy elements are clean yet interesting and intriguing for the intended age group (and older!). He noted that the writing is exceptionally well-written grammatically (yes, he said that). He has requested that the book be donated to his school library so other kids can read it, to which I have agreed (how could I refuse?). I like the whole plot premise and the character Jorie; her internal dialogue is great. Overall, this is an endearing story sure to charm readers and leave them with a smile as it did for us. I received an ARC through Book Publicity Services in exchange for an honest review which in no way influenced my opinion.
