The overall feeling from this read is mediocre. The writing is just ok; nothing thrilling, nothing terrible. I did notice a few inconsistencies along with a struggling plot flow and characters who, in my opinion, acted outside their position. This feels like a rough draft instead of a finished and polished product and could use a content editor to clean and tighten it up. That said, it’s not a terrible book and is written well enough that it could be mildly enjoyed to pass the time, say, on a flight. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion.
