All I Ever Wanted Was to Be Called Mom: A Womanas Epic Quest for Salvation on the Road to Motherhood by Vaspx
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I was asked to read and review this book. This isn’t a book I would have selected on my own initiative. I understand that the struggle to conceive and have children is valid, emotional, draining, and heartbreaking when things don’t seem to be working out. I don’t discredit this emotional journey in any way. That said, I found the book very difficult to enjoy and I couldn’t connect with the authors. This causes a lack of empathy which is huge. I feel that while the message is valid, the method of delivery takes away from the entire experience. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
