Last Chance Hero (A Place to Call Home, #4)Last Chance Hero by Cathleen Armstrong
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the final book in the A Place to Call Home series. The romance aspect was very light. I like the small town feel; it feels accurate in that aspect. The writing is done well, as with Armstrong’s other books. The characters feel authentic and I like the interactions between them. That said, the plot feels a bit rushed while the pace feels a bit sluggish. I get the feeling that everything had to be wrapped up in a nice neat bow within a set number of pages and as a result the story suffered a bit. I don’t feel that all of the threads came through and were tied off, leaving a few things unresolved. This isn’t a bad thing in itself but they were noticeable to me. Overall this is an easy and entertaining read that fits well in its genre. I received an ARC through Revell Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion.
