Ready-to-Use Resources for Mindsets in the Classroom: Everything Educators Need for School Success by Mary Cay Ricci
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a wonderful resource that I wish more schools would implement. Too many times I’ve heard children come in the library after school and say they’ll never learn -whatever is currently being taught- because they aren’t smart enough. I’ve heard it over and over how certain demographics reduce intelligence. Sure, the boy down the road born to immigrant parents with no formal education may have a difficult road ahead of him but that does not mean he can’t learn complicated math or become a scientist. This book touches on several areas that can be implemented in any classroom regardless of what the school system dictates. I’ll be using it with my currently public schooled child. I wish I had something like this when I was homeschooling my older two. I received a copy of the book through the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
