Overall the writing is good and easy to read. I’m not a fan of the cover or the title of the book and feel it could be greatly improved with an update. That said, the reading went well in a relatively short time period. I never felt drawn into the book or like I had a connection with the characters. This isn’t to say they weren’t well conceived or fleshed out, just that I couldn’t make that connection. I feel the same way with the plot of the story. Perhaps someone else could just up and drop everything including family to follow this plot line but for me it just feels a bit on the silly side. I believe many readers will be able to enjoy this book and even laugh at the humorous moments while a handful of others will feel as I do and will look for something else to read instead.
