Diego’s Dragon, Book Two: Dragons of the Dark Rift by Kevin Gerard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
First off, read Book One before you venture into this one or you’ll be a tad bit lost. That said, this is a very well written fantasy book for younger readers. The main character feels authentic and develops well throughout the book. My son (10) and I enjoyed reading it together with gasps and laughs to boot. He wants to see a copy in our library so he can talk about it with his friends, he likes it that much. Overall the story has a good flow and is able to keep the attention of younger minds while telling an interesting and fun tale.
