This is by no stretch of the imagination, a light read. Be prepared to utilize the entirety of your faculties to the point of feeling a bit worn out as you read through this book. From the word choices to the descriptions and situations you’ll need to be fully awake to digest everything. The overall writing and plot are good, just a bit on the heavy side to say the least. I did not connect with the characters even by the end of the read although I did want to know how everything turned out. I believe the word choices and lack of depth and fleshing out hurts the feel of the read but don’t turn away just yet. For many, this is just the sort of read they are searching for and will absolutely love this book. I received an e-ARC through the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
