The Snow GardenThe Snow Garden by Christopher Rice
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I almost didn’t finish this one, but I have a policy to not post reviews of books I don’t finish. I’m starting to rethink that policy because some books that don’t get finished don’t deserve to be in print. Granted, this book will find a niche of readers who think it’s fantastic and can’t wait to get a hold of the next one. I’m not one of those readers. I prefer solid plot threads that makes sense and don’t get left somewhere in the dark corner only to be suddenly wrapped up just because. I don’t mind a character being flawed, in fact I prefer my characters to have flaws, but this book was just way over the top in everything. I lost count how many times I rolled my eyes. I also broke one of my own rules: Never read other reviews until you write your own. I had to know if I was the only one who just didn’t like this book. It’s actually comforting to know I’m not alone. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion, which is my own and may not reflect how you feel and that’s ok.
