The Mace of Souls by Bruce Fergusson

Another very well written book in the Six Kingdoms series, this being book two. Attention to detail with a well written and edited style make this a very difficult book to put down once you begin to read it. The characters are well fleshed out with flaws becoming to their personality. I especially like this sort of fantasy without all the frills and lace thrown in. The plot is intriguing and has great flow, pulling in the reader and keeping the pages turning. This has potential to be a five star read with just a few small additions such as a map and context or key for several words used in both books. I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion.
