This one is a mixed bag. I really like the premise for the plot. The writing is solid and well edited. The characters are unique and fairly well fleshed out, especially the main character. The plot has a few interesting pieces and ends up working out nicely but the start of the book can really leave some readers confused and not likely to turn pages. Stick with the disjointed first parts and you’ll enjoy the read and like the book so long as you can suspend belief a tad more than other non-fantasy reads.
