The Birth of Chaos by Ethan James Clarke

This one is a mix of likes and dislikes but ends up being a good read if you prefer very detailed explanations of everything. There is a lot to read and little is left to the imagination. I could not connect to the characters. There is a lot of telling going on. The amount of work and research that went into this novel is clearly apparent as you read through it. Sometimes though, too much muddles down the enjoyment of the read. This is no quick easy read, and some readers prefer that. Overall this is a good book with a lot going on. I received an ARC through the author in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion.
