This one is a blend of hits and misses. While it is well written and edited I am not excited about certain elements and characters. I like the idea of blending dystopian and fantasy, two of my favorite genres. The main plot is interesting enough to keep most readers turning pages and buying the next installment. There are a few plot threads I’m curious about how they pan out. I’m not thrilled with the current character development however I feel most readers will either overlook them or accept them. The fantasy elements are a touch difficult to easily accept but work well for the plot. Overall, while for me this is an ok book I feel many others will enjoy it. I received an ARC through Revell in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion.
