I have a very close friend who can’t get enough of this genre and begged me to read this when it arrived. As I have a stack of to-be-read books already on my desk I agreed. After reading this book she gave high praise for how well the story was brought to life and how captivated she was through the entire book. In her own words “Mesu has breathed a breath of fresh and stimulating air into an otherwise dull and often passed over story.” She also mentioned it was not necessary to read the first three books in the series to enjoy this one. Personally I liked the cover and the part I did read before turning the book over to my dear friend. I’d recommend this to anyone who would enjoy a biblical story brought to life. I received an evaluation copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest opinion and review. In no way has this influenced our opinion.
