The Long Awakening, a memoir by Lindsey O’Connor

In observance of Brain Injury Observance Month I encourage you to read something on this topic. I was lucky to have this book which I would recommend, and will be placing in a giveaway soon.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I typically avoid memoirs because they are either dreadfully boring to me or poorly written, or just a gloating account of success. This was none of that. The writing was well done and I couldn’t help but feel drawn into the story and feel a full range of emotions as I read it. I would recommend this for anyone to read, and to remember just how fleeting and precious life is. I received an evaluation copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest opinion and review. In no way has this influenced our opinion.
