Daughter of the God-King by Anne Cleeland
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
While written intelligently and with only a few grammatical issues, I found this book to be difficult to really connect with. It seems as though it was originally set up to be a historical novel, and those aspects are handled quite well, only to have the odd romance shoved in. It was this romance deal that threw me off liking the main female character and eventually liking the book overall. The rest of the book was well done and a good read for those who enjoy this genre. There’s plenty of detail for the imagination although it might be a bit too much for more sensitive readers.
