Very well written with several plot twists, all while remaining interesting and enjoyable to read. Full of characters who feel true to who they are and who are fleshed out with many layers. Attention to detail without going overboard makes this book worthy of all five stars. A definite recommendation for those who enjoy fantasy. I would also recommend you read the first book in the series, Firebrand, before picking this one up.
