Intelligently written and well researched story. Not bad for a new author writing fantasy. Reminiscent of the D&D games and stories. There is potential here for a really good book and I think this author is one to watch. The writing wasn’t bad, it just needs some polishing and maybe a few less commas. I enjoyed reading it and I can tell a lot of work went into this creation, hence the four stars. It’s better than what I’d give 3 stars to. The characters, while not feeling fully fleshed out, are true to their race and the genre. The plot was a bit simple and linear but still flowed nicely. I’d recommend this to those who like uncomplicated fantasy and/or enjoy(ed) RPGs.
