Winning the Battle by Stephanie Perry Moore

Well written story aimed at young male children with material they can actually relate to and hold their interest. I like that the characters are not presented as perfect. They must learn from their mistakes and as the story progresses they learn how to handle what life throws at them, all while remaining very accurate for what this age tends to find important and what they tend to have to handle. I like how the subject of God is presented without being preachy or aligned with a particular religion. These are lessons we could all use some help with.
