Changed Forever by Steven Misosky
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The synopsis of the book is what got me curious about what was inside but it’s nothing like I would expect from reading that or that it’s supposed to be a sci-fi/fantasy. Young curious and maybe even naïve readers would love this. It starts out all gushy and lovey with the perfect family, perfect birthday, perfect upbringing, perfect life, perfect everything. To me the twins didn’t feel the least bit realistic and most of the dialogue felt forced. It could use some better editing as well. It was a touch preachy at parts, like the whole “fluoride is terrible for you” stance. While I didn’t enjoy it, it’s not a terrible book and actually has a few good points.
I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
