The Loathly LadyThe Loathly Lady by John Lawson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

At first I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this book but each page pulled me further into the story and my enjoyment grew until I had to admit I was going to really like it. I was pleasantly surprised with how the author developed the plot and handled the encounters. I didn’t expect it to be as entertaining and well written as it turns out to be. At first I didn’t like Brandywine or the feel of things. They felt a bit choppy but soon smoothed out and became quite the enjoyable read. This is definitely a book for the more mature reader and not for the easily squeamish. I loved the well embedded clues and the way the plot threads worked within the main story. Attention to detail along with well fleshed out characters make this a very well written book and worth the read.

I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
