The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch

The author takes his sweet time getting the story going. It really wasn’t much of a page turner except for the fact I really wanted to find out what ended up happening in the end. Parts were entertaining while other parts felt stale and unpolished, or forced. It felt as though the last half or so was all planned out and written but someone said it wasn’t long enough to publish so the author had to create a front half to make the page count requirement. Overall it’s not a terrible read.
